Honoree ???
It is with great pleasure that I am here to share the good news about how awesome God is and His ways are always better than our ways. I endeavor in creating social media content on different platforms to inspire and motivate my audience. I have been selected as part of this year’s honorees at the EIDO Swimwear Wonder Women Initiative 2019 by TayoIshola – who has been following my Instagram page for some time and wanted me to be a part of this special event. It will be held this Saturday July 13th at 1:00 pm in Miami, Florida.
I honestly
first thought it was a spam email and they were trying to sell some product.
However, I responded to the email and realized she was a real fashion swimwear
brand and this was a real event. A few days later, one of my high school classmates
who I also keep in touch via social media – reached out to me about the event
and said she had even worked for Tayo a few times before.
When people
recognize that the work I do has meaning it really validates me as a person and
makes me want to do so much more, because I can see it has an impact on others
in a good way. My story is unique; however, it is the positive outlook with which
I have chosen to live my life with that really captivates the people that have had
the opportunity to meet me. I go thru ups and downs just as everybody else –
except I have a few extra daily challenges that most don’t ever have to foresee.
This event is
extremely humbling and gratifying for me in so many ways. I look forward to
meeting new colleagues/friends; I aspire to make a great speech delivery to once
again inspire and motivate the audience present; and I will cherish this
experience with all my heart, because only God knows how much physical work has
gone into making this trip a reality. Remember to always humble yourself and
others will exalt you for your hard work and contributions to society.
